I LOVE living in the city. There is definitely no doubt that I am a city girl (Kyle’s dad is the first to remind me of it when I pitter patter into their home up north with my sky-high heels). The best thing about living in a busy city like Toronto is the abundance of “honey spots”. What is a “honey spot” you ask? A “honey spot” is a place where I can find tranquility, relaxation, peace, or pretty much just makes me feel like a happy girl all around.
Whether shopping on a Saturday afternoon, wining and dining with friends, or catching some vitamin D, summer is the best to time visit to my favourite honey spots.
If you’re in Toronto (or paying a visit in the near future) check out some of my honey spots! Follow along with me on Instagram (mlsecrets) using hashtag #mjhoneyspots and #myhoneyspot.
Left to Right: Adornment on Queen / G for Gelato / Origin St. James
Adornments on Queen:
A spot filled top to bottom with all things beautiful and Parisian. I love visiting Adornment on Queen and no kid you, I can spend hours in there. There is something beautiful, dainty, girly and French in every corner. This is the perfect spot to find gifts for bridal showers or unique trinkets for your home. They also have a tea bar, equipped with loads of loose leaf teas and even samples to try.
G for Gelato:
Who doesn’t like a sweet and cool treat on a warm summer evening? G for Gelato is a quaint gelato and coffee shop right by my place. They have no shortage of gelato flavours and you’re free to try as a bit or as many as you want!
Origin St. James:
I have the privilege of working right above one of Toronto’s best restaurants – Origin. I’ve been more time than I can remember but still one of my favourite spots. Items to try? Bufala mozzarella fresh from the mozzarella bar, chinois duck + flour tortilla, and the Origin Burger.
David’s Tea:
I generally have a ‘one coffee’ per day rule. To get my afternoon caffeine fix, I enjoy visiting David’s Tea for their selection of teas and I also love their tea accessories, I just wish they were closer to home!
Brassaii:
A great spot to gather with the gals for drinks on the patio and the food is delicious. It’s also one of my favourite spots for a night out! So glad I got to meet with some of my blogger gals for drinks recently.
