Click & Grow! Yes! It’s that easy. I first came across Click and Grow, a company based in Estonia, while I was searching for a new plant, something I was able keep alive that is. Living in some condo in the city, there is hardly any space for my own garden… coupled with the fact that there is hardly any natural light in my condo, it seemed nearly impossible!
Cockscomb Starter Kit c/o Click & Grow
Luckily for me, I came across Click & Grow, an easy-to-use electronic smartpot that grows plants without watering and fertilizing. The smartpot is designed with all the necessary parameters, doses and exact amount of water, fertilizer and air, according to the plant’s needs. Best of all, it is designed for indoor conditions. Everything I was looking for in a plant.

I chose the Cockscomb Starter Kit as for my first Click & Grow experience, I found the flower so interesting and colorful! I really like Click & Grow’s simplicity approach. It is consistent through their packaging, instructions, and their entire concept.
The planter came in a white sleeve, printed with simple step by step illustrated instructions to get started along with some other tips.
All I had to do was follow the ridiculously easy instructions to activate my planter. The planter’s center came equipped with the plant and its fertilizers, there was nothing else I had to do except to remove the battery area (red section below) and insert 4 AA batteries.
Once the batteries were inserted, the planter’s light turned blue to indicate that everything was working in order. I then filled the planter with water up to the indicated line and the planter’s blue light turned green, to indicate that water levels were good to go.
That’s all to it! Another super cool feature to mention is each planter is assiged a unique code, if you go on their website and enter in this unique code, you will officially ‘activate’ your planter. Click & Grow will then send tips and updates according to your planter’s life cycle. Now that’s planting made easy!
4 Days Later! My planter had little cute baby sprouts. I love spying on my plant everyday!
Note – if your place doesn’t have much natural light, try using an additional lightsource. I put a desk lamp over it and turn it on daily when I head out to work. It’s been working out great!
Don’t you just love this product?! I know I do! I’ll post some more updates soon to show you my progress when the flowers start to bloom.
