What I love most about the pre-Fall season is the slightly cooler evening breeze.
It’s honestly the best time of the year to unwind outdoors with cozy blankets and comfy cushions. We don’t have much of an outdoor space living in the city, but luckily we have a private rooftop terrace steps away from our bedroom suite. It’s the perfect little spot to hideout, play games, or even set up a portable movie projector – the kind of Friday night that I now much prefer over late nights out.
I recall as a kid, we spent time as a family playing board games, watching movies, and enjoying popcorn on Friday nights. This shared childhood memory that Kyle and I have now extends into our own household. Instead, we’ve added an adult twist with the taste of Canada’s all new Henry’s Hard Soda. These delicious spiked sodas made from cane sugar are a great way to kick back on a Friday night because history has proven that wine… well, will put me right to sleep after a long work week!

Bringing the fun and relaxation outdoors doesn’t require much effort. If you’ve got an outdoor seating area in your home, line it with knit/fleece blankets and plushy cushions for ultimate comfort.
Trays are an entertainer’s best friend. You can place food and drink items on trays that can sit right on soft surfaces. And here is an added little tip for you. I often times save an extra slab of tile/marble from renovations because they are the perfect makeshift trays! Here, I have a 12×12 square marble tile from our bathroom project that I used as a mini games area. You can easily play cards and even Jenga on it without having to worry about toppling surfaces.
Henry’s Hard Soda has been such a great addition to my Summer entertaining this year. I’ve come to discover that this beverage is wonderfully delicious, surprisingly versatile, and can I say, just cheerful and fun?! I’ve managed to stir up Orange Ice Cream Floats and Grape Ice Pop Cocktails, but they are equally tasty enjoyed just the way they are. I’m looking forward to bringing these into Fall with me!
String lights and lanterns are great as lighting options but they also create a cozy, romantic ambiance. These are generally inexpensive and very portable, allowing you to put up and tear down in just a matter of minutes.
