It’s Easter and that means I’ve got plenty of mini eggs stashed around the house. Instead of stuffing my face with them, these little pastel goodies inspired me to incorporate them in an Easter themed dessert that is sure to impress.

Sadly, I don’t have much luck when it comes to keeping plants alive at home but I do love the idea of adding greenery to my space. When S Ø S K E N Studios asked me to support and represent them during their runway show at Toronto Fashion Week this Tuesday, I was thrilled and honoured. S Ø S K E N Studios and Marisa Minicucci, the designer behind the brand believes in inspiring women around the world to adopt a touch of androgyny in their wardrobe through adaptable, multifunctional statement pieces that are both classic yet on-trend.

I’ve experimented with androgynous pieces before and particularly love pairing them with feminine classics such as a great heel and handbag. As you know, gender-bending is not new in fashion, but it has certainly been been much popular (and more refined) in the past couple of years.

Whether it’s days in the office or working from home, I always prefer to jump start my day with a cup of coffee. I love the taste and aroma of coffee. For me, it’s an instant wake-up call and also helps with my productivity. Now, if you spend most of your days in the confines of your company office, you may not have a choice when it comes to brewing your own, and therefore, most of us defer to coffee shops for our daily dose. Girl talk time! Soon after we tied the knot, I thought it was about time to get off the pill. And so I did. As expected, after coming off birth control, the changes in estrogen levels also caused some visible changes for me. Firstly, I experienced a repeat episode of Alopecia (look that up, if you’re unfamiliar) and I also noticed an outbreak of acne on my face, generally around the time of ovulation. On this fine Thursday, the topic I’m bringing to you from my desk is how to stay active when you have a crazy busy schedule? I must admit, I’ve never been a consistently active person. And when it comes to going to the gym or picking up a sport, I have to really convince myself before taking the leap. I typically go through spurts and they generally motivated by sudden slight weight gain or an enormous amount of indulgence. When you couple that with an extremely jammed pack schedule, staying active is honestly big challenge.

These photos were snapped a few weeks ago (thanks to my dear friend Joelle of La Petite Noob) and I didn’t get the chance to post them until now. Admittedly speaking, I was subconsciously convinced that winter was over and most of you wouldn’t be too interested in this casual cold-weather outfit. But guess what, the warmer climate had me totally fooled and looks like we’re not escaping the chilly temperatures just yet!

Happy Friday friends! What better way to kick off the weekend then with a deliciously beautiful cocktail? I love sangrias. The combined flavours of red wine, assorted berries and citrus fruits is just absolutely tantalizing. I admit that I am no cocktail connoisseur, but from time to time, I’ve successfully managed to prepare a few crowd-pleasing cocktails by throwing a few unexpected ingredients together.

This DIY Campari cocktail was inspired by my adoration for sangrias. I used the slight bitterness of Campari and blood oranges as my base (similar to red wine) and added a few of my favourite things.
