Flower crowns are great for upcoming music festivals, proms, bohemian inspired weddings and much more. I’m thrilled to share with you this charming DIY Flower Crown Kit by Oh Dina! As much as I adore a fresh flower crown, these kits ($30) equipped with silk leaves, greenery and paper mulberry flowers are perfect as they will keep forever! These kits are also make a fabulous gift or party favors.

I decided to put a spin to my kit, and created a DIY Flower Corsage instead (you can also read up on my recent DIY fresh flower crown tutorial). For those of you who may be too shy to wear a flower crown, a corsage is a delightful alternative. Each kit makes two full corsages.

I got together with the lovely Marla of Trendstruck last weekend to shoot our April shoe pick as Shoe Ambassadors for Le Chateau. I had such a great time shooting with Marla and wish I had a buddy to shoot with all the time!

We both picked these buttery soft leather shooties from their LUXE collection and believe me if you haven’t perused through Le Chateau’s collection of shoes, you must! They have such a wide range (both styles and price points) of shoes, there ought to be one for you. Now, back to these peep toe shooties. I can’t begin to tell you how much I adore them. They simply make every outfit look rad (yes, I used the word RAD!). They are awesome with a tee and skinny jeans but equally awesome paired with a dress. Marla and I styled these slightly different, coincidently with contrasting colors – her in cool black, and I in soft creams.

Happy Monday! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! Kyle and I had the best time Saturday, enjoying a fantastic date night at The Keg and the Odysseo by Cavalia show! We love watching shows and this one was incredible.  Odysseo by Cavalia is a theatrical experience, an ode to horse and man that marries the equestrian arts, awe inspiring acrobatics and high-tech theatrical effects. The show is set under a 38-meter tall White Big Top, housing over 70 horses and an international cast.

We were struck by the features which included a real carousel, stunning video backdrop the size of three IMAX screens, and near the end of the show, you’ll be greeted by a magical 302,000-litre lake. The show is approximately two hours long and I’d recommend it to anyone that enjoys theater, acrobatics, dance, and horses!

Hello! A colourful post today to celebrate the amazing sunny days we’ve been experiencing in Toronto. I’ve been sporting dark colors all winter long to my workouts. To welcome Spring, I absolutely had pick up some new bright active wear.

I am totally obsessed with these Capri Painterly Capris ($69) from Bench Canada, they make me feel all kinds of unicorns and rainbows and certainly adds an extra dose of motivation to my workout routine. Alongside with these pants, I also added an extra pop of color with this Onetimer II ($119) windbreaker jacket also from Bench Canada. I’ve mentioned before in this post that I really love the way their clothing fits, I’m wearing an XS in both pieces.

Happy Monday friends! The weather over the weekend was fabulous and had me inspired to deconstruct this cute little DIY Spring terrarium I made late last week at an event with Crown Flora. I’m a huge fan of air plants, they are super low maintenance and such a perfect way to add life to the home without too much work. Much of the decorative materials I used can be purchased from a craft shop (heck, check the dollar store, lots of goodies there!), with the exception of the terrarium glass dome and air plant. You’ll likely have to visit a floral/garden supplies shop for these speciality items. But free free to plant your air plant terrarium using other types of vases, there are so many options out there!

Who doesn’t love a good pasta right? I’m a total pasta and general noodle lover. Actually, one of those people that order Spaghetti and Meatballs but only to eat all the noodles and leaving all the meatballs behind. However, where possible, we select healthier options such as whole wheat noodles.

On my rainy day off, I decided to cook up a simple pasta dish with Barilla’s newest line of pasta products – Barilla PLUS. Barilla PLUS delivers 27% more protein than Barilla’s traditional semolina pasta. The high source of protein comes from ingredients such as chickpeas, lentils and egg whites. In addition, Barilla PLUS is also a good source for fibre and Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids.

A couple of months ago, Kyle and I were approached by Karen and Megan of Frou Frou House to partake in a New Orleans inspired Wedding Style shoot. We certainly jumped at the opportunity as an excuse to give us some practice before our own engagement and wedding shoot. I’m excited to finally share the photos from the shoot and also thrilled that it was featured on Ruffled Blog last week!

I love Spring, not just because the days are getting brighter and longer, but it inspires me to introduce a lighter palette to my wardrobe and of course, trench coat! These three pieces – trench coat, mock neck dress, and ankle booties, all newly acquired are just the perfect match.

How many of you love to flip through old photo albums from time to time? I know I do! I visited my parents over the holiday season and they seriously must have hundreds and hundreds of printed photos tucked away neatly on their shelves. I love perusing through them, especially pictures of them when they were young, and those of my sister and I when we were little wee ones. It is incredible how a camera can capture so many precious memories for us.
