One of the best ways to add colour to your wardrobe is definitely accessories. I love a big colourful statement necklace and bracelets to add colour to glam to what may be a basic outfit. Even a simple white blouse and denim can dressed up with a sparkly statement necklace or chandelier earrings, the options are just endless! If you don’t have the budget to acquire too many pieces, a great way to change things up is to layer multiple pieces or transform them into new ones (that’s the DIY DNA in me speaking to you).

Hello! I had the best time in Paris last week! I can’t even describe how magical it was. There is something special to see at every corner. The architecture and gardens are incredible and I’m envious of everything about the Parisian lifestyle and culture. The treats and eats were also to die for and the French Macarons from Laduree? Heavenly! Even though I was only there for a few days, I made the best of every minute and soaked in as much of the Parisian culture as I was able. If you haven’t visited this romantic city yet, be sure to put on the top of your list!

In my post last week, I mentioned a few must pack items. One item I definitely won’t leave without is the Henkaa convertible dress. Sometimes, it is just impossible to plan for every activity and event in the travel itinerary. Packing becomes a hassle when you’re trying to predict ever possibility- i.e. am I going to a casual place for dinner? Something fancy? Packing a convertible dress provides options and the Henkaa dress certainly gives a variety – it can be worn at least in 8 different ways! I’m wearing the midi dress in royal blue in a few different ways, the dress also comes in a mini and maxi length.

As you’re reading this, I’ve just set foot in Paris a couple of hours ago! I am beyond excited to explore this romantic city. I can’t wait to explore the countless museums, cafes, gardens, and soak in all the Parisian culture. Being this my first trip to Paris, I’d really appreciate if you have any suggestions for me!

I no newbie when it comes to travelling as I’ve done countless business trips but travelling for leisure is just a different ball game! One of my goals during my short trip to Paris is to take some fantastic photos. I really didn’t want to lug my DSLR around with several lenses (and let’s face it there aren’t really that many cute and compact DSLR camera bags out there). I was so thrilled to find an alternative solution with Henry’s Rentals. I am taking along the Fuji X100S point and shoot camera with me c/o of Henry’s. I can’t tell you how excited I am to try this top of the line point and shoot!

It was so great meeting the Spark Sessions team and also the group of up and coming bloggers. Casey Palmer also did a fantastic job on sharing his photography skills. What a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

I’m sorry I missed posting this Spring Beauty segment last week, primarily because my cold set my schedule back several days but here it is!

Tomorrow is an exciting day for me as I’ve been asked by the lovely bloggers over at Spark Sessions to participate in a Photography workshop with them alongside the talented photographer Casey Palmer. I’ll be covering off several topics related to photo styling. It’s going to be such a fun Saturday afternoon, I’m really looking forward to meeting fellow bloggers in Toronto.

This is the first full day Spark Sessions workshop, they’ll be running several more leading up the the annual conference in the Fall. Spark Sessions Workshops are full day workshops to help bloggers, influencers, or anyone online take your content to the next level. Their workshops are specifically designed with their audience in mind, and intended to teach you all the tips and tricks in a hands-on setting. The ladies behind Spark Sessions aim to provide direction, inspiration, and the knowledge to create the brand that you want.

Happy Monday! The sun is shining warm and bright today but it’s too bad I’m still battling with my cold! I had big plans to finish up my Guest Room Re-modelling project over the weekend, but it just didn’t happen. Our Guest Room is pretty much the only room left in the house to do any type of drastic make over (though I’m going to continuously update the decor in my house, it’s importantly to keep up to date!).

My vision for the Guest Room was to create an inviting nautical ambiance, think – soft blue hues and anchor/sea side accented decorations. The inspiration came from the set of 6 nautical themed prints (mine are in black outline) I acquired from this shop from Etsy. I then pretty much evolved all the other components around these 6 prints. I decided to pick a cottage style, plaid bedding set accented with powder blue cushions and a throw for the Spring/Summer season. In the Fall/Winter, the plaid bedding set will transform nicely with a fur or knit throw and even reds for the holiday season. A plaid print is extremely versatile.

Hey beautiful! K, I seriously think Spring is close… aside from the minor snowfall we had a couple days ago, the weatherman swears that the warmer weather is finally arriving by the weekend. In preparation for Spring and the warmer weather, I’ll be chatting with you about my new beauty picks over the course of the next several weeks.

With the heat and sun soon to be upon us, it certainly does a number to our hair and our skin (including our hands and feet!). Warmer months also calls for flawless makeup to fight the sweat.
