Hi, I'm Natalie! Thanks for stopping by my DIY and Lifestyle blog. I hope you find many inspirations and ideas to elevate your daily life!
I absolutely can’t get enough of this electric blue coat I purchased beginning of the Winter season. I love the fact that it is super bright, it totally brings my mood to a different level. I also adore a great cocoon shaped coat (I’ve managed to accumulate 3-4 coats of this shape now).
I decided to go full “electric blue” by pairing this coat with multiple shades of blues and greens. Though the temperatures have not been as cold as “extreme cold alert” lately, layering is still my BFF. I added extra layers to this outfit by wearing my printed top over this MINKPINK dress (worn as a skirt).
For those of you who decided last minute you want surprise your lady or man friend with something special on Valentine’s Day, here are some last minute gift ideas for him or her that will have them tickled pink!
I had the pleasure to visit Becky at her floral design studio, Blush & Bloom last weekend. I asked Becky (being the floral expert that she is) whether she could show me (and you) how to arrange a gorgeous floral arrangement. I had so much fun at her by appointment only studio and learned plenty about flowers and how she creates such gorgeous pieces. Did I mention, her studio is so fabulous (I’ll share more photos of her studio soon) and I was also thrilled she surprised me with a Valentine’s colour palette.
There are just countless Valentine’s Day projects out there that are tremendously cute and simple to try. I decided to kick off Valentine’s Day this year with this simple DIY project – heart shaped sugar cubes, which I had the pleasure to contribute to SheKnows Canada.
I’ve always wanted to make my own sugar cubes and after doing so research, I decided to sweeten up my cup of tea with these super cute, easy, and adorable sugar cubes. You can essentially create any shape and color you want by changing up the mold.
Three little words for you today. I love Etsy. Etsy is like Pinterest, highly addictive and I can spend hours on it. I typically browse for art work, DIY supplies (such as fun rhinestones and findings), and I love finding one of a kind gifts for special occasions. Being an advocate for handmade goods, I really enjoy supporting local crafters and businesses, it feels like every piece has its own tale.
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I thought I’d share a little bit of my past dating wisdom with you gorgeous single ladies out there. I’m no dating expert, but I’ve certainly been on a fair share of them before I met the love of my life :).
Actually, funny enough, my first date with Kyle was probably the most embarrassing of all. My jeans literally ripped in half at my rear end just as I was stepping into a cab with him. Instead of fretting over it, we just laughed it off and continued our night out (though we did stop to get me a new pair of jeans).
Valentine’s Giveaway :: GUESS His and Her Fragrance Set
Hello! I’m so excited to be running this Valentine’s Day giveaway c/o of GUESS. Why not surprise your beau (and yourself) with this V-day GUESS His & Her Fragrance Set?
As you may already know, I’m a huge fan of re-fashion and transforming thrift shop (or my own closet) finds into new creations. Today, I’m sporting a one of a kind hand-made tank made from several thrift shop t-shirts by Cornelius Quiring.
I literally met Cornelius through Twitter. Funny how you can build an entire friendship strictly over the web. I was looking for someone to help me with redesigning my blog and Cornelius offered to help (BIG thanks) but also had a great story for me.
To get you geared up and ready for Valentine’s Day, here is a short and sweet round up of my past Valentine’s Heart themed DIY projects. Whether you decide to try one in time for February 14 or save it for another occasion, these Heart themed DIY projects were some of my most popular projects (The DIY Heart Print Denim is my personal favourite).
