I adore all things vintage! From ornate antique pieces found at the flea market, vintage designer handbags to new vintage inspired jewelry pieces from Lulu Frost, there’s just something special about bringing something old into the new. I especially love handmade and ladylike details in vintage goods. However, vintage goods can be very costly sometimes, but there are ways to achieve a superb vintage look without breaking the bank.

I fell in love with Oscar de la Renta’s Rose Necklace when I saw it on video from their Spring/Summer 2013 collection runway show last year (which is now available for sale). In addition, after seeing J.Crew’s Beaded Rose Necklace in their current Spring/Summer season, I just couldn’t resist but to try a version of my own.

Click & Grow! Yes! It’s that easy. I first came across Click and Grow, a company based in Estonia, while I was searching for a new plant, something I was able keep alive that is. Living in some condo in the city, there is hardly any space for my own garden… coupled with the fact that there is hardly any natural light in my condo, it seemed nearly impossible!
Still looking for a Valentine’s Day gift for that someone special? Here are few gift picks for your consideration. Or if you prefer to DIY your own gift instead, browse through some ideas.
Thought I’d inspire you on a weekend DIY project that is fun and edgy. I was shopping on SSENSE and came across this Alexander McQueen Dusty Rose and Gold Tassel Key Ring. I have a tiny obsession with skulls and also had a few left over from other past projects (see skull and studded shirt). So I thought I’d take a stab at re-creating my own. I am no Alexander McQueen of course and my version is certainly not made of gold, but I really liked the way it turned out and have attached in to my studded purse since.
I’m currenlty looking for a pair of relatively comfortable, black pump with a slight twist. In my opinion, every woman should have a pair of go-to black pumps, to pair with absolutely anything and everything, from jeans, a pencil skirt, to a sheath dress. Looking around, I discovered Bloomingdales is having an amazing “Mad About Shoes” sale, only today!
I found several pairs that fit the bill, classic with a twist!
I originally created this DIY Heart Stamped Ombre Shirt for Fashion Parkway. However, soon after this project went live. Fashion Parkway shut down, therefore, it’s unfortunate that I don’t have the original tutorial. The steps of this project is super easy, I’ve outlined it for you here. I hope they make sense even without the step by step photos!
Although I’m not a huge fan of early February, primarily due to the yucky weather, but I do have to say, one thing I love about this time of the year is the new introduction of Spring Collections everywhere. In a recent post, I picked out some of my favorite picks from J.Crew. A quick visit to the mall this weekend also got me loving H&M’s affordable Spring looks.
As Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, I thought I’d do something a little different then usual on this week’s Style Eh? feature. I’d like to pay some attention to keeping our men stylish and some great gift ideas for him. This week’s Style Eh? features a Canadian men’s clothing company – Frank & Oak.
