Hello! I’m finally settling back in after returning from our wonderful honeymoon! We had such an incredible time touring parts of Europe but my most favourite were definitely the Greek Islands. Can I say, WOW?! I’ll be sure to share some photos with you once I’ve had a chance to go through them!
Packing for a two week vacation can be quite daunting, especially when multiple destinations and temperatures are involved. Regardless, when it comes to beauty essentials, I’ve always got an it-list, good for any travel plan. I’ve curated a number of beauty products that I’ve personally tried and tested, and I guarantee you’ll absolutely love them too!
Check out my Beauty Travel Essentials to learn more about my most favourited items to pack in the suitcase!
For Your Face:
Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes: I’ve been a long time fan of using cleansing wipes to remove makeup prior to washing my face. Wipes are also perfect as a travel companion in your carry-on if you’re in-flight for a long period of time. It instantly cleans and refreshes without worrying about carrying too many ‘liquids’ in your bag. I was recently introduced to Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes and absolutely love them. They are soft but durable and exhibits a great fresh scent. They come in full size or travel size equipped with 10 sheets.
skyn ICELAND Arctic Face Oil: Frequenting a plane and also long exposure to sun (and trust me, I got plenty of it while sunbathing on the beach) can cause dehydration in your skin. This 99.9% Camelina face oil assists in replenishing natural moisture while sealing in hydration to help balance, revive, and rejuvenate skin. An added benefit to this product is that it will also smooth fine lines and wrinkles over time.
sky ICELAND Glacial Face Wash: Available it is full size or as part of the The Saving Face Kit (which is what I have) that comes equipped with a travel size and other goodies, this face wash is a creamy, foaming cleanser that purifies and soothes stressed skin. When I visit hot climate, I generally experience clogged pores, this face wash is a mild cleanser that detoxifies without stripping skin of its natural moisture.
EVE LOM Radiance Lift Cream: I’m always in search for the perfect face cream and I honestly think I’ve found THE one! Available at Murale across Canada, the EVE LOM Radiance Lift Cream has an extremely rich texture however has a very light finish on the skin. This cream concentrates both on hydration and firming, leaving skin feeling majorly indulged and pampered. I typically only need to apply a small dab which is enough to last me the full day. You must try it to experience the full benefits of this face cream.
stila stay all day 10-in-1 HD beauty balm: I love beauty balms as they provide multiple actions. They can be used as a standalone tinted moisturizer or under foundation and makeup. This option from stila has 10 different features to beautify your face.
For Your Hair:
PHYTOKÉRATINE EXTRÊME SHAMPOO: I am SO thrilled that I was introduced to PHYTO’s line of hair products. I’ve been battling some issues with the health of my hair and scalp and the Exceptional Shampoo has helped me tremendously. The shampoo has both improved the health of my both my scalp and also the strength of my hair. If you haven’t tried their line of products, I highly recommend it! I will share more on these products as I continue to use for the next several months.
PHYTOPOLLÉINE BOTANICAL SCALP TREATMENT: After the wedding and also going off my birth control pills, I experienced hair loss. The experts at PHYTO recommended this 100% Botanical scalp treatment to help purify, regulate, and stimulate my scalp for hair growth and healthy hair. It is recommended that you use this treatment every 10 days (once a week if you have severe challenges), leave it on for minimum 20 minutes before washing your hair. Both Kyle and I are using this treatment together, we are both seeing results. Kyle has dryness and redness around his hairline and this combined with the Exceptional Shampoo has fixed this issue for him!
Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo: I LOVE this dry shampoo. It comes in both full size and travel size and perfect to pack in your suitcase. I am trying to reduce the number of hairwash and this dry shampoo keeps me refreshed and absorbs excess oils.
Hair Treats Moda Bam Bam Hair Straightener: I can’t tell you how many hair straighteners I have wrecked in my life while travelling. Many of the ones I had weren’t internationally compatible and I always made the mistake of using the wrong converter. I love the the Moda Bam Bam straightener that comes as the perfect travel size, equipped with universal voltage (you’ll only need an outlet adapter), and also a heat resistant travel case which means you can heat it up, do your hair, and throw it back into your suitcase if you’re running out to catch your next flight!
Other:
Luster Power White Toothpaste: Perfect for keeping your teeth pearly white especially drinking loads of red wine (I must have had red wine every single day on my trip!)
L’Occitane Hand Cream (travel size): I’m a standing fan of L’Occitane’s line of hand creams. Their travel sized tubes are wonderful to stash in your purse and they’ve released a limited edition collaboration line of products with famous macaron brand, Pierre Herme soon to be available in stores.
Lovefresh Natural Cream Deodorant Pot: A big fan of Toronto’s very own Lovefresh products, especially their selection of yummy smelling hand creams and lotions. But I do adore this Natural Cream deodorant that is also now available in stick form.
