Every Christmas, my closest girlfriends and I get together for our annual Christmas gift exchange. This year, we continued our tradition of Secret Santa (stealing version!) But I thought I’d also surprise each of them with something handmade – therefore I made each of them a DIY Delicate Two Strand Spike Necklace. This DIY necklace is simple, elegant, and depending on what charm you find, it can add some spunk to your outfit.

Why not have a little fun with your nails this holiday season? Instead of just painting them one colour or getting a traditional french manicure, I decided to try my own sparkly reverse french mani at home. Super easy to do and adds a little bit of interest on your hands.
I am a huge advocate of infographics. I create tons of them at work to display numbers and statistics in a meaningful way but yet visually appealing to the eye. Because let’s face it, numbers and data can be pretty tiresome especially when you’re starring at them all day long. I’ve become quite accustomed to thinking visually with numbers and therefore decided to create a Year In Review infographic for the boyfriend and I to include with our holiday gifts soon to be wrapped and out of our tiny condo. I had so much fun creating this, the best part was recapping the great moments and including a few fun facts. After all, the holidays are about spending time with your loved ones and getting personal!
I hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend! I’ve so far had a very productive one, got lots of work done and finally made it back to the yoga studio after a whole month of procrastination, now I just have to keep it up.
In my last two DIY Holiday Gift Guide posts (here and here), I made some suggestions on jewelry gift giving and their respective DIY options. Today, I’d like to share this great gift idea with you. Ever since the infamous Burberry Owl sweater was seen on Kate Bosworth, I had my heart set on picking up my very on Intarsia Animal Sweater. I was so excited to find the Old Navy sheep version (on sale for $20.00 online) I’m sporting above and managed to kick it up a notch by adding the sheep’s favourite saying – bah! I had so much fun with this DIY.
Happy Friday everyone! I hope your work day has gone by quickly today so that you can get an early kick start to your weekend. What do you have planned this weekend?
In my last DIY Holiday Gift Guide Post, I suggested giving a Statement Necklace as a holiday gift to that special friend. Today, what about considering a Stackable Bracelet as an option? I love stacking bracelets (with my watches too!). I’ve handpicked a few of my favourites below at different price points and also made a DIY version for you try!

I am absolutely in love with Shourouk’s Jewelry Collection, it is to die for. I adore the use of large Swarovski crystal pieces, coupled with chains and ropes to create the best balance of playful, vintage, yet contemporary looks. My favourite masterpieces include this, this, and this. So I decided to try my own pair of rope crystal earrings. Let me know what you think.
With Halloween just around the corner, what are you dressing up as? I won’t be partaking in Halloween this year (first year in awhile!) due to a busy travel and work schedule, but that didn’t stop me from creating something for Halloween! I decided to make my expecting sister a maternity shirt for her Trick or Treat night out this year. It was so much fun making this shirt, partly because I’m super excited to meet my baby nephew.
Since I’ve been introduced to sailing this summer, I’ve been crazy about anything strips and just about everything with an anchor on it. I came across this tank from jcrew which I love but sold out by the time I went to buy it, so I decided to tackle my own version but also making it fall friendly. Read further for step by step easy instructions!
I am a big fan of army print and military green. When I saw those favourite patterns and colours embellished with sparkly things, my eyes twinkled. I was uber excited. Once again, a stop into my favorite store Zara, had my DIY radar going off – I was inspired by this and this version. So I decided to take my own spin to my army green military jacket.
