There are only a few weeks in the year where you get to experience the beauty that Fall has to offer. The trees are changing in colour as they are getting ready to shed their layer of leaves in time for Winter. We visited Rouge Park with the hopes to capture the wonderful views but I’d say that we were only partially successful. The park was HUGE and we was pointed to a handful of park entrances that didn’t guide us to exactly the vision of Fall foliage I was looking for! Needless to say, we engaged in a refreshing stroll through the park grounds and breathed in the fresh warm autumn air. We did however manage to find this quiet shaded tree-lined nook and snapped a few photos of my casual look.

Wearing OTK boots to the office can be a bit delicate. If not paired appropriately, the whole look can back fire, and well truthfully, it can go from classy to sleazy too quickly! The key to pairing your over-the-knee boots in the workplace is to find a dress with a conservative length and (trendy) cut. This dress is by far one of my most favourite purchases this season, it has the perfect mini bell sleeves that is currently trending and exhibits a slightly loose but structured cut that allows for layering of a dress shirt underneath without adding extra bulk. And as the weather starts to cool down even more, it can been paired with slim pants and a knit turtleneck that makes a smooth transition into winter. A super great buy in my opinion!

Hi guys! So sorry for the silence last week, life just caught up on me and I had to take a break in between all the events! Back today with a super short post, but promise more to come this week! Victoria (from The Lust Listt) and I, alongside with a handful of beautiful influencers participated in Diesel’s 2016 fall campaign. We were given 49 rules of successful living to choose from and was asked to showcase which one particularly stood out and represented each one of us personally.

Happy hump day! I love it when long weekends give you an extra day off, it sure makes the week go by faster! With TIFF and the opening of Nordstrom in Toronto coming up, there are so many events and parties to attend next couple of weeks! I spent this past last long weekend of the summer meandering around the city with hardly any plans in mind, enjoying cups of coffee and cool bevvies on patios. It was a great way for me to recharge before the crazy hectic days to come!

With fall around the corner, I’m already planning out my transitional outfits. These perforated leather heels from shoeME.ca made a recent appearance as I know that they’re going to be a staple item for the start of fall. I paired them a casual t-shirt, a summer lace skirt and added the most coveted accessory of this season, a leather choker to give it a feminine yet, edgy style. I love the soft grey tone of these block heels as they are perfect for transitioning the lighter summer palette into the richness of fall.

It’s been a dream of mine to open up a flower shop cafe. Though, it’s unlikely I can make that happen this lifetime, but I’m so thrilled to say that some talented friends of mine are living my dream! Last weekend, I visited my dear friend (and florist) Sarah of DeLight Floral + Design at her newest retail location within Arvo Coffee nestled in the beautiful Toronto Distillery District. Those of you who have been following along will know that I am a huge fan of Sarah’s work and she also designed all my floral arrangements at our wedding last year. If you’re looking for a beautiful place to enjoy a cup of coffee, I urge you to pay a visit!

I rarely attempt to wear electric colour makeup (with the exception of a fuchsia pink lip from time to time) because let’s face it electric blue, green, and purple remind me just too much of tacky 80’s music videos! During my trip out west with Shopper’s Drug Mart Beauty Boutique team earlier this month, I was encouraged to try my “beauty never”, the results were unexpected and I was extremely pleased!

The absolute best thing about blogging is the gift of meeting other bloggers and influencers! A lot of people ask me why I bother to juggle so many balls in the air (i.e. full time and blogging) and honestly, the reward is making new friends, travelling to new destinations, and exploring new horizons. Last week, I got to do all of the above!

I’ve been in hiding last couple of weeks getting some much needed R&R! We spent the entire last week in Port Carling enjoying the best of summer, hanging by the lake, sipping on cocktails, and unplugging from the (digital) world. I’ll be sure to share some scenes from our cottage trip as many of you asked me the cottage listing after seeing it on Instagram!

We spent last weekend strolling through the streets of Yorkville after enjoying an incredible brunch at La Societe (all you can drink Cava, Caesars and Mimosas for $35!). I’m absolutely loving the heat wave that has bestowed upon us which has had me living in light weight tops and shorts majority of the time. I picked up this floral off-the-shoulder top ($20) from the annual ZARA sale and it’s been on heavy rotation. The floral print is a statement in itself but I managed to pair it with some fun  added details, such as these heart shaped sunglasses ($10) and fringed denim shorts ($26) to give this outfit some extra pop.

What makes me extra happy (aside from the 4 glasses of mimosas during brunch time) is that most of my outfit was purchased at a heavy discount! Oh, how I love a good sale!

For someone that’s worked in the financial and insurance industry for the last decade, I’m likely considered as someone that pushes the limits when it comes to dressing for the office compared to some of my colleagues. My love for fashion has always encouraged me to pull out my ripped jeans, leather vest, or sneakers for the office, even if I’m interviewing candidates or seeing clients! I know that I’m lucky to work for a company that likes to have a bit of fun and doesn’t correlate office wardrobe to professionalism.

For those of you who grew up in casual and flexible working environments like me, you’ve got nothing to worry about in terms of adhering to a strict dress code. But did you know for some of my peers in the same industry, they’ve mentioned that open toe shoes and even sandals are strictly prohibited in the office space accordingly to their companies’ dress code policy (like, OMG!). Here is a recent outfit I wore to the office and yes it consists of my recent favourite Caged Sandals gifted from my friends at SHOEme.
