Mother’s Day is just a week away! I find that moms are the hardest to shop for (at least the the case with mine!). Why not combine the best of both worlds by shopping for something stylish but also personalizing your gift by DIY-ing something special for her too?

I decided to tackle a unique project for Mother’s Day. I found this pretty floral blouse at Joe Fresh and was immediately inspired to use the floral print to personalize a gift for mom. I remember a few weeks back I stumbled upon a candle in a ‘soup blow’-like canister. I loved it and haven’t really seen anything like it in stores. Therefore, I proceeded to create my own DIY Soup Bowl Candle using the print from the blouse as my Mother’s Day Gift to Mom.

Continuing with my obsession with the evil eye trend, I really wanted an evil eye dress I saw from Zara (now sold out) but unfortunately even the small didn’t fit me well. I was on my journey to DIY my own evil eye dress but then stumbled upon this dress on Persunmall! The dress fits perfectly (I’m wearing a size small). I LOVE the fact that it’s got the perfect A line/baby doll shape and bonus points for pockets! Who doesn’t love a dress with pockets?!

One of the best ways to add colour to your wardrobe is definitely accessories. I love a big colourful statement necklace and bracelets to add colour to glam to what may be a basic outfit. Even a simple white blouse and denim can dressed up with a sparkly statement necklace or chandelier earrings, the options are just endless! If you don’t have the budget to acquire too many pieces, a great way to change things up is to layer multiple pieces or transform them into new ones (that’s the DIY DNA in me speaking to you).

Hello! I had the best time in Paris last week! I can’t even describe how magical it was. There is something special to see at every corner. The architecture and gardens are incredible and I’m envious of everything about the Parisian lifestyle and culture. The treats and eats were also to die for and the French Macarons from Laduree? Heavenly! Even though I was only there for a few days, I made the best of every minute and soaked in as much of the Parisian culture as I was able. If you haven’t visited this romantic city yet, be sure to put on the top of your list!

In my post last week, I mentioned a few must pack items. One item I definitely won’t leave without is the Henkaa convertible dress. Sometimes, it is just impossible to plan for every activity and event in the travel itinerary. Packing becomes a hassle when you’re trying to predict ever possibility- i.e. am I going to a casual place for dinner? Something fancy? Packing a convertible dress provides options and the Henkaa dress certainly gives a variety – it can be worn at least in 8 different ways! I’m wearing the midi dress in royal blue in a few different ways, the dress also comes in a mini and maxi length.

I don’t generally go to all the shows at Fashion Week, mainly because this is a super busy time of the year for me too at work and it’s nearly impossible to find the time to go them many of them. However, I do pick a few that I absolutely NEED to go to and this year, Joe Fresh certainly tops my list.

Last night, I was delighted to be invited as a guest to attend the show. Though I’m desperately awaiting for the sunny and warm weather to arrive, Joe Fresh presented some amazing Fall/Winter pieces on the runway that had me thinking maybe the cool weather ain’t that bad???

A quick hello before we head off to the weekend! Totally obsessed with pink for Spring, I’m talking all shades of it too.Two items I’m definitely adding to my closet for Spring are the pink bow sling backs shown below and a pink spring jacket is also an absolute, though I haven’t found the perfect one yet, any ideas?

TGIF! It’s finally Friday, woo and hoo! I greet you today with a pretty blue outfit. I played dress up at home a little while ago as I was laying out a couple of outfit choices for an upcoming event. I’ve been looking for a skirt with a skater, flared out cut for some time now and quite happy with this dress option (worn as a skirt) that I found from Rosegal.

It was too chilly out this past weekend, so I decided to shoot this outfit indoors, in my home office! Good timing actually, as I’ve been chipping away at my office transformation and it’s finally good enough to share. I’ll be sure to share a post dedicated just to the office and what we did to get it into top notch shape (let’s just say the before used to be a full mirrored covered room!).

Ok! Back to this outfit. LOVE everything about this blouse from Persunmall. I was reluctant to order it at first as I thought maybe it was a little wee too much but paired with this feminine frilly skirt? Just splendid! Plus, I’m just a huge fan of the Kenzo Evil Eye trend, too good to miss (have you seen my DIY Evil Eye clutch project yet?).

March has arrived! Which means we’re just another step closer to Spring, though the only thing that’s feeling like Spring lately are my tulips are fabulous Spring look books! Today, I’m sharing some darling pieces from Joe Fresh‘s Spring 2014 collection. There is something for every occasion and the price points are just ridiculous (ridiculously affordable that is!).
