I was thrilled to catch a sneak peek of the Peter Pilotto for Target Spring collection at the Target Canada Spring 2014 Preview last week. Every single piece was covered in vibrant and colorful patterns that even I for a moment forgot we’re in the midst of Winter. The designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos is known to create colorful prints for the label with the intention to convey emotional feeling through color and color combinations.

Hello! I’m so excited to unveil my blog’s face lift today! I’ve been meaning to update the design of the blog for quite some time now. I spent much of of month making changes, transferring to the right platform and making little tweeks here and there. A SUPER thanks goes out to Cornelius for helping me with this redesign and all the technical aspect of things. I’m very happy with the end product! The blog will always be evolving and this is just the start of that journey! I’d love to hear some thoughts from you on the redesign, please feel free to share.

On to my outfit … before the crazy cold frigid weather hit the city, I had the chance to sport my new winter puffer jacket from Persunmall (sold out but they have TONS of jackets for under $100). I thought this jacket was such a great alternative to a usual plain version. I love the tweed trim around this creamy soft winter puffer, it mimics a classic Chanel style. I decided to pair this jacket with something casual – my go-to faux leather pants, a cozy knit and my Nike sneakers that I scored for under $50 during Boxing Day.

On Christmas Eve, I decided to put on something festive. Therefore I picked this burgundy heart printed blouse and a statement necklace. These two items have been on a repeat recently! I am also smitten by my gorgeous gold plated “N” initial necklace by Kendra Phillip, the other side of the “N” is in silver, therefore you can wear it two ways.

My sister, Rufina, has been my long time preferred shopping buddy. There are only a few girlfriends I can shop with (you know who you are), and my sister certainly tops that list. There is something sacred about the act of shopping, having the right shopping buddy is so important. Especially when it comes to being the voice of reason, “Do you really NEED that?”

Last week, I had the chance to visit one of Toronto’s newest boutiques, Style Faux Pas (155 Church Street, Toronto). I was so thrilled to see that they carried an array of labels that aren’t too readily available. Among my favourites are Primary New York, Whitney Eve, KAIN, and LA Made. I am also smitten by the Kara Ross and Melanie Auld accessories!

I’ve always been a huge fan of Stella and Dot. I was first introduced to the brand while attending a small event in Toronto, where one of the ladies had someone from Stella and Dot host a trunk show. Since then, I’ve hosted a trunk show myself, it is so much fun to gather the ladies together, sip on some bubbly and get our shop on. The best time of the year to do that is just before the holiday season.

Happy Monday Lovelies! I’m excited to share these photos with you! A couple of weeks back, I had the best time with Manitobah Mukluk and Lotus Leaf Style, shooting some street style photos with the amazing Jenna Marie Wakani (photographer at Refinery29).

I decided to inject some bright cobalt blue to my outfit (cocoon coat here, purse here) while wearing the most comfortable and luxe winter boots – Kanada Boots in black, made in Canada and retail for $299. This is the second pair of Manitobah Mukluk’s I own and I can’t tell you how comfortable their boots are. I especially love the suede and bead work on these boots. The extra addition of rabbit fur that trims around the boots is also an added touch of glam, which I thoroughly adore. If you’re still looking for that perfect Christmas gift for someone that loves lounging in comfort and style, I highly recommend these!
