As a kid, I despised wearing red. I always thought it attracted way too much attention. Oddly enough as I age, I find myself shopping for red – perhaps I don’t mind the attention afterall 🙂 This romantic red dress was from Persunmall. The quality is exact of the same dress carried at Zara and the prices are very affordable.

The red dress had an intricate and ornate pattern that was both subtle but interesting. It’s a very unique piece to add to my closet. I paired this dress with a casual fedora that gave it a more casual vibe. I think the next time I wear it, I’ll pair it with a pair of stunning heels and some baubles for a dramatic effect.

I’m so thrilled to be included in the Wallis Blogger Contest for a chance to attend New York Fashion Week. The contest is all about styling transitional items from Summer to Fall.

I styled this amazingly comfortable and super cute Wallis paisley dress two ways – wearing it now for the Summer and wearing it later for Fall. For my Summer look I paired the dress with a pair of casual tan flats and white accessories, creating a casual and comfort look for the warm season. For my Fall look, I paired the colourful dress with a black studded leather jacket and black accessories. Fall tempts me to become a little edgy, the studded leather jacket adds an edgy look to this feminine dress.

Summer is the prime time for weddings. I just came back from Chicago celebrating my dear friend, Ashley’s wedding at the Knickerbocker Hotel. It was a fantastic time and what a great excuse to get away for a few days and explore the windy city. All the weddings and engagements this year (and a little browsing on 77 Diamonds) got me thinking about all the different diamond shapes. There are so many different types! Each having it’s distinctive character, style, and let’s be honest, not every shape is for every lady.

I recently participated in a great LBD contest hosted by FAJO Magazine for VAWK and eBay Canada. All the ladies who entered the contest were stunning! Though I didn’t end up winning it got me thinking about the LBD some more.

I love statement jewelry. It creates dramatic impact when paired with basics and at times, even becomes a conversational item at a party. Finding statement baubles that are not only luxurious to look at but high in quality can become very expensive. Just a quick hello today! I can finally say I believe summer is here to stay (at least for the next few weeks). We’ve been experiencing a mini heat wave for the last few days. First off, they are locally based (I’m very supportive of local brands) and secondly, they are an organization that exists for a good cause. Founded in 2005, Me to We Style aims to provide 50% of their annual profits to offset administrative costs to Free the Children (the world’s largest organization of children helping children through education) while producing the finest quality sustainable garments.

Hello! Confession – I have a major obsession with nautical items. Especially anchors! You probably know about my obsession if you are following along on Instagram. Kyle (the BF) teases me and says I enjoy boating fashion more than actually boating itself. He may be right but really, how cute are these items! Not only am I obsessed with plastering anchors on myself, but I can’t wait to decorate our new home with a nautical theme. I’m thinking of dressing our guest room with stripe bedding and nautical details, I get giddy just thinking about it!

Lately I’ve been inspired by golden tones. Perhaps it is due to the summer rays – giving me the natural golden touch. I love accessorizing with gold especially when summer attire seems to lean towards a more laid back and casual style. Adding gold makes any outfit feel more glamorous, rich and decadent. Of course if you go overboard, you may look like walking molten lava!
