These photos were snapped during our recent trip to Costa Rica, celebrating a dear couple’s destination wedding a couple of weeks ago. The weather was insanely hot but insanely good and the wedding was like a day dream taken right out of a magazine. It was the first time that all our friends spent a vacation week together, along with our spouses and kiddies, we were so blessed with great company.

When it comes to travelling to hot climate (Costa Rica is just about 8 degrees north of the equator!), I often pack along several LWDs (little white dresses) with me. The white doesn’t tend to absorb as much sun, allowing the body to stay relatively cooler. I’ve come to accumulate a fair share of white dresses, but this white baby doll number from Joe Fresh is my recent favourite (and it’s under $50!).

Exploring the city is one of my favourite weekend past times. I love discovering new pastry shops and boutiques, it’s one of the perks of living just steps away from the Downtown Toronto. I was lucky enough to sport this Spring outfit just before snow hit the ground, can you believe winter decided to pay us a late visit?

I’m pretty excited that the 70’s trend is back and totally smitten by these cropped, frayed AND flared denim that I snatched up. Paired alongside with these lace-up sandals from Le Chateau (under $70!), can I say I’m totally ready to make an appearance of an episode of The Vinyl! A special thanks to Aney and Vicki for snapping photos of me as if I had a personal paparazzi! Thanks ladies!

I also want to thank each one of you who took the time to read my last post. It took me nearly a decade to build up the courage to share my experience with Alopecia. I’m so grateful for all your comments on Instagram and hope that my story can heal some of you who are personally going through this or have a loved one that requires some emotional support.

I love supporting and wearing Canadian Designers. When S Ø S K E N Studios asked me to support and represent them during their runway show at Toronto Fashion Week this Tuesday, I was thrilled and honoured. S Ø S K E N Studios and Marisa Minicucci, the designer behind the brand believes in inspiring women around the world to adopt a touch of androgyny in their wardrobe through adaptable, multifunctional statement pieces that are both classic yet on-trend.

I’ve experimented with androgynous pieces before and particularly love pairing them with feminine classics such as a great heel and handbag. As you know, gender-bending is not new in fashion, but it has certainly been been much popular (and more refined) in the past couple of years.

These photos were snapped a few weeks ago (thanks to my dear friend Joelle of La Petite Noob) and I didn’t get the chance to post them until now. Admittedly speaking, I was subconsciously convinced that winter was over and most of you wouldn’t be too interested in this casual cold-weather outfit. But guess what, the warmer climate had me totally fooled and looks like we’re not escaping the chilly temperatures just yet!

I guess Winter decided to visit afterall! We spent our Valentine’s Day weekend in Ottawa with friends outdoors, braving the -40 degree weather with layer upon layer of thermal wear. When we returned to the city, I couldn’t wait to get out of my bulky parka and winter boots covered with salt stains! I swapped my less than attractive winter gear with my newly acquired Fjällräven Keb Loft Jacket which is lightweight, yet durable and highly insulated and functional. Layered on top of a knit sweater and leather vest, this jacket is the perfect companion for a wet, slightly milder winter day without compromising fit and style.

TGIF friends! Weekends are reserved for fun outfits just like this playful combo I sported last weekend to Sunday brunch at FIGO (OMG YUM!). I’m totally loving the 70s trend comeback and decided to channel it by adding these cognac fringed suede boots to my winter style. Now, 70s and flared denim jeans typically go hand in hand but since I wanted to show off my new ‘fringe’, I opted for a criss cross tied denim tunic dress instead. I’d say I made a pretty good choice!

It’s been weeks since I did anything active with my body! Pathetic, I know. So glad I finally got myself to a hot yoga session over the weekend and boy do I feel energized. Last Sunday was the best kind of Sunday, the ones that are super productive yet relaxing.  I trotted around city after yoga to enjoy a nice brunch with Kyle and later shopped around for bags full of groceries and a much needed counter-top spiralizer (by the way, life changing, really!).

I long for days where I can lounge in comfortable yet versatile gear that can bring me from the studio to the streets. I absolutely adore this marbled print hoodie (on sale) and heathered grey leggings from Bench Canada. Not only are they great for pre-workout, but both are fabulous as everyday lifestyle pieces.

I just can’t believe how warm (relatively speaking that is) it has been in Toronto! Call me crazy but I managed to wear open toe sandals over the first weekend of December. Amazing, right?!

For my final Le Chateau shoe pick of 2015, I opted for a festive, sparkly pair of sandals that not only got me through my weekend’s casual attire, but will sure be taking me through the upcoming holiday parties. These Jewelled Satin Strappy Sandals ($69.95) are the perfect fit and height. And as you can see, they can elevate any outfit from sweaters and jeans to cocktail party dress paired with opaque stockings.

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?! Who is the most difficult person to shop for on your list? Personally, my parents are the toughest to shop for! Every year I ask them for a wish list, and every year, I’m left with the same response, “Save your money honey, we’ve got everything we need.” But this year, I’m so glad I’ve got just the perfect gift for them.

We received our wedding photo files a couple of months ago and it was so tough trying to figure out what to print for my family as keepsake. I thought what better way to share our special memories than to create custom prints for family and friends this Christmas with PhotoBox.
