For my wedding day, I wanted to look timeless. Therefore, I opted for simple yet stunning jewelry and accessories. I also wanted to make a selection of pieces that weren’t overly ‘bridal’, so that I could incorporate them into my regular wardrobe again.

I had searched months for a pair of earrings and finally met the perfect pair of delicate sparkly scalloped edge chandelier earrings. For my feet, I picked a classic pair of nude patent Ferragamos I’ve been meaning to add to my wardrobe for years. For my wrists, I started the day with a simple pearl bracelet embellished with a center crystal-clustered bead c/o of Vivah Jewellery and later ended up with an additional gifted diamond tennis bracelet from my parents (woah! They are too sweet).

I don’t often see brides carry a clutch or bag on her wedding day, but sure am glad I decided to take this beautiful golden clutch also c/o of Vivah Jewellery along my side (my maids took turns keeping it for me while I wasn’t able to). I was able to take along some important items with me such as a mini makeup touch up kit, tissues, tide-to-go, and I managed to keep my phone close by my side (hello… Instagram?! LOL, all jokes aside, in case of unexpected vendor emergencies).

Hello! Last week I shared a super fun project – DIY Gold Leaf Birkenstock, and also mentioned that I’ll share how I style my Birkenstock sandals. As much as they are made for the outdoors and adventures, I love pairing my Birkenstock sandals for a casual weekend look.

Last weekend, with many errands to run, I styled my shiney metallic sandals with denim shorts (see my previous tutorial on how to create your own cut-off shorts), a cotton white top and a cross body bag, like my sandals, speaks both function and fashion. If Birkenstock’s are a little bit above your budget for a pair of summer sandals, I’d recommend checking out SoftMoc’s version. Happy Monday! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! Kyle and I had the best time Saturday, enjoying a fantastic date night at The Keg and the Odysseo by Cavalia show! We love watching shows and this one was incredible.  Odysseo by Cavalia is a theatrical experience, an ode to horse and man that marries the equestrian arts, awe inspiring acrobatics and high-tech theatrical effects. The show is set under a 38-meter tall White Big Top, housing over 70 horses and an international cast.

We were struck by the features which included a real carousel, stunning video backdrop the size of three IMAX screens, and near the end of the show, you’ll be greeted by a magical 302,000-litre lake. The show is approximately two hours long and I’d recommend it to anyone that enjoys theater, acrobatics, dance, and horses!

News flash! The weather man calls for flurries this weekend (yikes) and I also know that my friends in Calgary has already been hit with snow… oh no! That means, Winter is on its way. As much as I dread the cold weather, one awesome thing about Winter is heading to the slopes. I’m a fairly average skier/snowboarder, but I sure do love getting together with friends and heading to the cabin once a year.

I hope you had a great and eventful weekend! I extended my Canadian Thanksgiving holiday last Monday to a week-long staycation. I really needed to get organized, complete a few more wedding planning details, and get started on my ‘getting fit’ plan. I’m so proud to say that I reconnected with my love for yoga this past week, making it to Yoga Tree‘s newest (and sickest) Toronto yoga studio at Bay and Dundas FOUR times.

I was first introduced to yoga over 5 years ago and fell in love with it. I found that yoga offered me a combination of serenity, relaxation, and a kick-ass workout. Many people that have never tried yoga before has a perception that it is not ‘challenging’ enough. Before you judge, I really do urge you to give it a try. I’ve found that it has improved my flexibility, core, muscles, and my overall endurance.
