Earlier this week, I had BIG plans to revamp a wall in our living room and picked up a few jars of CIL Testers (on sale for $3.97 at Home Depot). My plan was (and still is) to hand paint a super awesome wall paper pattern I spotted in a Kate Spade change room. Since the pattern really don’t require a full can of paint, the small CIL Testers definitely works.

However … let’s just say the Christmas party we attended over the weekend may have set me (slightly) back from my big paint project that certainly would have required attention to detail and focus. I managed to not let my entire weekend go to waste and tackled a few mini DIY holiday paint projects that are worth mentioning!

Happy Friday friends! I rarely bake. However, I do make an exception during the holidays and absolutely love to greet my friends with a fresh batch of cookies and treats. Last weekend, I decided to put my (super cute) apron on and baked some fresh cupcakes for my girlfriends. A special thanks to the team at President’s Choice for making my bake day such a breeze. Instead of baking from scratch, I gave their Decadent Chocolate Cake Mix a try and let me tell you – I definitely fooled a few … an apology to my girls, they were actually made with cake mix!

I was introduced to Lint and Honey by a friend and instantly fell in love with their kitchen textiles. Our kitchen has never been my favourite room in our house (I had a vision for white marble and light cabinetry), therefore, I’ve always been on a hunt for super cute kitchen accessories. I love dinner parties. Especially with the arrival of the colder months, hosting (and attending) dinner parties seem to be much more attractive then roaming the streets of the city and fighting to hail a cab late at night in the cold. A couple of week ago, my dear friends Claudia and Fred invited us over for dinner and with the hopes of going OUT for a movie post dinner.

Let me set the mood here for you. After a delicious meal and a few too many wonderful glasses of wine, one could only imagine, we never made it out for a movies. Instead we decided to top up our glasses and enjoyed each other’s company. Doesn’t that sound all too familiar?!
