TGIF! I want to talk about one thing today – skin. Our skin is the mirror of our lifestyle. Have you ever noticed that our skin gets negatively affected by the lack of sleep, change in diet, too much sun or increase in our stress levels? The solution to keep young and healthy looking skin is certainly choosing the right skincare regime, but coupled with relaxation and change in lifestyle is definitely the best remedy.

The weekends go by too quickly especially when summer has FINALLY returned Toronto once again 🙂 I had a fairly active weekend, starting with Treetop Trekking at the Horseshoe Valley Resort in Barrie on Saturday (recommended) followed by bike rides on Sunday in the city. I LOVE living in the city. There is definitely no doubt that I am a city girl (Kyle’s dad is the first to remind me of it when I pitter patter into their home up north with my sky-high heels). The best thing about living in a busy city like Toronto is the abundance of “honey spots”. What is a “honey spot” you ask? A “honey spot” is a place where I can find tranquility, relaxation, peace, or pretty much just makes me feel like a happy girl all around.
Summer is the prime time for weddings. I just came back from Chicago celebrating my dear friend, Ashley’s wedding at the Knickerbocker Hotel. It was a fantastic time and what a great excuse to get away for a few days and explore the windy city. All the weddings and engagements this year (and a little browsing on 77 Diamonds) got me thinking about all the different diamond shapes. There are so many different types! Each having it’s distinctive character, style, and let’s be honest, not every shape is for every lady.
Summer is near! Being summer ready to me means getting that nice glow on my skin but nothing is more important than having silky smooth arms and legs to bare for my summer wardrobe (I couldn’t wait to sport this new skirt!). Being a DIY advocate, this not only applies to fashion, but also expands to all aspects of my personal life including beauty regimes. I love exploring new at-home products that promise to provide salon results.
Happy Friday! I am so happy that the weekend is being kicked off with some heat! I can finally smell the summer air in Toronto (not always the freshest though lol). Ever since we made our house purchase and though not moving until the end of August, I’ve already been on the hunt for home decor ideas. While doing my research, I came across Lampe Berger – a company based in Paris that specializes in diffusion systems for your home, in other words, air fresheners for your home. Keeping my home smelling fresh is a big priority, I often use candles to mask the smell from cooking or other odours. I’m glad I came across this option.
