It’s been two months since I’ve given birth and I am finally starting to feel more like myself again – both emotionally and physically. During my pregnancy, I’d say I did a pretty good job taking care of my pregnant self. I did tons of reading about what symptoms, aches and pains I should expect and made time for self-care treatments such as prenatal massages, visits to the chiropractor, physiotherapist, and my OB.

Pregnancy :: Treatments I Did During Pregnancy and to Prepare for Birth
Hi friends! It’s been a month since I’ve given birth to Everett and I’ve been meaning to write this post for the longest time. I FINALLY understand when mom friends…
Pregnancy :: All the Bittersweet (Mainly Sweet) Feelings
I can’t believe how quickly the last 38 weeks have flew by. I’m finally approaching the last two weeks of my pregnancy and we’ll soon be welcoming our little guy into the world. It is SO surreal. So many feelings are flowing through me these last few days and to be honest, it’s been keeping me up at night. I think it’s mother nature’s way of preparing me for motherhood.
One of the most exciting yet overwhelming things we had to tackle a few months into our pregnancy was setting up a baby registry. I thought planning a wedding was daunting, well awaiting for the arrival of a new human is next level! There are so many things a baby needs and such a huge selection and array of brands to choose from, it is tough to even know where to begin the process.
Dressing the bump has both been a fun yet challenging experience. Early on in my pregnancy, I was able to get away with repurposing my own closet, finding interesting ways to wear oversized clothing that I already own or secretly leaving buttons and zippers undone. Then as the pregnancy progressed, it’s absolutely necessary to shop for a few key maternity clothing items or the least bring in some new pieces that can accommodate the growing belly.
A few weeks ago, we celebrated the soon-to-be baby boy with our closest family and friends over a casual yet beautiful Thai style brunch affair at Kiin in Toronto. Kyle and I went the non-traditional route and decided to host our own baby shower. My sister insisted to host but we honestly didn’t want to trouble anyone on planning a celebration for us! Plus, family and friends have already been extremely generous with sending us baby gifts, we wanted to find a way to share our gratitude and thanks. I know this is unconventional, but hey, it’s modern times, right?!
Way before I was pregnant, I promised myself that I’d be joining those cute mamas I see coming in and out of the yoga studio nestled within a cute alley entrance off Queen Street East in Leslieville. As soon as I hit week 9 and felt comfortable with resuming some form of workout, I got myself an annual unlimited membership at Toronto Yoga Mamas. I wish ALL you mamas have an opportunity to visit this studio because it is by far one of the best (and highly recommended) community I’ve ever been a part of.
Today marks my 36th birthday and my 6 month pregnancy milestone. I can’t believe how quickly time flies! 36th is going to be an incredible year because I’ll get to…
Lifestyle :: Celebrating My “Unofficial” Mother’s Day + Hand Lettering Nursery Wall Art
Though this little boy is still growing in my belly, I already feel all sorts of mom feels! I’m mentally and emotionally preparing myself for mom life and so, even though he’s not quite ready to say hello to the world yet, this Mother’s Day is a special one because it’s one that is preparing me for motherhood and therefore, definitely worth celebrating.
K, I’m SO stoked about this post because I’m finally sharing the gender of our little mini!!! Are you guys ready?! Drum roll….WE’RE HAVING A BOY!!! Majority of you guessed girl…
