Happy Monday! It’s been a little while since I’ve greeted you with a fun fashion DIY project. I’m very excited to share this project with you today! Ever since I’ve seen the Chanel Chain Boots (worn by Aimee Song here, short version here, super tall version here) surface in the fashion world, I’ve been swooning over them. When I came across these minimalistic, lace-less boots from Forever21, I took the opportunity to try my own DIY Chanel inspired Chain Boots with them.
The results are fabulous! I’m also stoked that all the ice and snow melted in Toronto so that I can actually wear them out without ruining them on the slushy, wet grounds!
Thoughts on my inspired version?!
What you’ll need:
- Very sturdy glue – I recommend E6000. I only used a hot glue gun because I was nearly out of E6000 when I started the project.
- A pair of black booties, preferably with a sheen to them.
- Pliers
- Chain leather strap – I actually removed mine from an old purse that I no longer use, but you can easy also find a belt version to use. If you’re seriously creative, you can also DIY one by weaving a leather strap into a silver chain.
- Scissors
Check out these rad booties. I can’t wait to pair them with ripped jeans and a white t-shirt or a lingerie style lace trimmed dress and an oversize knit sweater. Woohoo!!!
Something you’d give a try?
