Hello Lovelies! So happy to be sharing this DIY Embellished Velvet Flats project with you! This project was exclusively featured in the November Issue of Accent Magazine, pick up a copy and check it out! I had the pleasure to work with Alexis Coronado, the Fashion Editor of Accent on this project, she had a vision for Luxury Gilded Loafers for this Fall’s trend and asked me to try a version myself.
What do you think? Would you wear over the top embellished flats to add some flare to your outfit?
What you will need:
- Basic Velvet Black Flats/Slippers, I got mine from Walmart for $8.00
- Assorted Embellishments – Beaded Sew-On Embellishments, Beads, Pearls, Sequins
- Glitter Glue – Multi-Surface or Fabric Use
- Small Paint Brush
- Jewel-It Glue
- Hot Glue Gun (not shown)
There you have it! The final product is rich, romantic, and luxe, perfect for the cooler weather.
This week I’m being shipped up North to cottage town for our company’s annual strategy session … great to be away for a few days, but totally nervous that I won’t have INTERNET! If you don’t hear from me, you know why 🙂 !

These shoes are so cute! Flats that have a little style to them can sometimes be hard to find…I love that you took matters into your own hands! 🙂
