I adore all things vintage! From ornate antique pieces found at the flea market, vintage designer handbags to new vintage inspired jewelry pieces from Lulu Frost, there’s just something special about bringing something old into the new. I especially love handmade and ladylike details in vintage goods. However, vintage goods can be very costly sometimes, but there are ways to achieve a superb vintage look without breaking the bank.
I recently purchased a bag of vintage gold buttons at a local sewing machine and buttons store. Since then, I’ve been looking for DIY inspirations. Lucky for me, I came across a number options (and DIYs) for putting my vintage gold buttons to use, I hope they’ll also inspire you to create something special of your own.

Earring Studs
A super easy way to put my buttons to use is to either create earring studs by applying the buttons to earring backings or for a bit more advance option, I’ll have to give P.S – I made this’ idea an whirl. Pipe cleaners and buttons! Now that’s creative!

Classic Navy Blazer
I believe in investing in classic pieces. Classic pieces are forever trends and can help your wardrobe go a long way. A classic navy blazer can make an outfit so much more sophisticated. Whether you have an existing navy blazer in your closet or try picking one up at the nearby thrift shop, adding gold buttons will add a dramatic effect.

Wedding Bouquet
Want to add something a little less traditional to your wedding? How about a vintage gold button wedding bouquet or simply add a few to your flower bouquet. If you have a few special brooches or buttons handed down as a family heirloom it can tell a great story as part of your wedding. I love these two versions I found.
