Do the kids in your family love unwrapping presents as much as the ones in mine? My nephews LOVE ripping wrapping paper apart. It’s been a family tradition that on Christmas Eve, we all gather at my sister’s place and bring our gifts over to unwrap. The kids are always volunteering to open up ours even though they’ve got plenty of their own to tackle!! It’s incredible how much joy they get from tearing paper and boxes apart with all their might!
This year, I thought I’d spread some extra joy to them and greet them with a couple of Giant Christmas Crackers filled with Cadbury Dairy Milk goodies! Did you know there are Christmas themed Cadbury Mini Eggs?! You’re welcome!
Read further to see how to make giant Christmas crackers! They’re also great for adults of all ages!
What You Will Need:
- Cardboard – mine were actually leftover from the inside of a wrapping paper roll
- Crepe Paper
- Shredded Paper Filler – you can also use tissue paper or confetti
- Ribbons
- Glue Gun
- Assorted Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolates – I used packs of Mini Eggs, but you can also add other goodies too!
Steps:
Roll the cardboard into a tube of desired size / Glue together the edges with hot glue gun / Cut crepe paper to desired length / Glue the edge of the crepe paper to the edge of the cardboard roll / Repeat on the other side / Decorate the cracker by covering it with wrapping paper, etc. / Fill the cavity with Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolates and shredded paper filler / Secure the crepe paper ends with ribbon / Unwrap and #FreetheJoy!
The kids will likely need some help unwrapping these, otherwise they’ll just end up ripping the ends off! So, give them a hand by making a small incision with scissors to get them started!
I hope you liked this super simple DIY and it’s a great way to wrap your gifts this season!

Oh my gosh, are those “For Tyler” Dairy Milk bars really available? Can you have any name printed on them? I know just the person who would love a personalised candy bar like that 🙂
