With Summer fast approaching, I’m looking forward to hosting friends and family for afternoon and evening get togethers. Aside from summer BBQs, I love a good tea party, but tea parties don’t always have to involve mini sandwiches, english breakfast and pinkies up! You can certainly modernize your tea parties with many tea options! On this fine Saturday, I’m here to share a couple of DIY Tea Party ideas with Alokozay Tea that is sure to wow your guests.
Read further to two options for a great DIY tea party: Earl Grey Macaron Tea Party and Iced Peach Mango Tea Party.
DIY Earl Grey Macaron Tea Party
For an pretty afternoon with your girlfriends, I suggest a simple tea party consisting of beautiful smelling tea and treats. Nothing beats the combination of loose leaf tea and french macaron, a favourite afternoon even if it was just for me! I used the the Alokozay Loose Leaf Earl Grey Tea that comes in a Collector Tin. I bought these teas online and both products were eligible for free shipping and they came to my doorstep within a few days.
The loose leaf tea smells incredible. To prepare, boil a kettle of hot water and fill loose leaf tea steeper with a small spoonful of the loose leaf tea. Steep for a few minutes and remove steeper. Accompany with additional fixings, sugar, cream, milk, french macarons, and off you go! I generally also heat up a small container of milk, this will sure keep your tea nice and hot!
DIY Iced Mango Peach Tea Party
When it comes to tea parties, who says you can’t throw a COLD tea party?! I love the pairing of iced teas and BBQs, a flavoured iced tea is extremely refreshing and may I add, tasty?! I decided to give the Alokozay Peach Tea a lift by combining fresh mangoes to them. The Peach Tea comes in a box of 25 tea bags which is perfect for brewing large amount of iced tea. To start, boil a large kettle of water. Once water comes to a boil, add in 4-5 tea bags and steep for 10-15 minutes. The amount of tea bags and time really depends on your preference for how strong you’d like the tea to be. While your tea is brewing, dice up one to two fresh mangoes and set aside. In a separate pitcher, add in 2/3 of your mangoes into it, pour the hot tea in the pitcher, add a simple syrup mixture (or sugar to melt), and ice cubes to cool. Place in refrigerator to chill. When ready to serve, add ice cubes and the rest of your mangoes divided between the glasses, fill up and voila!
I hope I’ve inspired you to throw your own DIY Tea Party! If you’re looking for a premium variety of teas, I recommend the Alokozay Tea Chest consisting of 12 flavours and 144 sachets. This is a great way to start your tea collection and also makes a great hostess gift!
Alokozay is available for purchase online at shopalokozay.com as well as in-store in Ontario at Metro (In the International food section), Food Basics and Adonis, and in Bulk Barn across Canada. Also, receive $1.00 off any Alokozay Tea product with a printable Alokozay Coupon.
