I hope you’ve got plans to entertain friends and family this weekend because I’ve got 5 amazing NESPRESSO ON ICE recipes for you!
Happy Friday! Last month, I introduced the new release of Nespresso Leggero on Ice and Intenso on Ice to kick off your Summer, I must say, I’m still swooning over these two coffees! Now, as much as I like enjoying them over ice with some agave or simple syrup, I was curious just about how many varieties I could come up with.
In the past month, I’ve been busy crafting several fun and delicious iced coffee recipes! Without further adieu!
1. Lavender-Infused Coconut Iced Coffee
Lavender is totally in season right now! On your next visit to the lavender farm or if you’re harvesting this plant in your own garden, try your hand at infusing your iced coffee with a splash of lavender-scented coconut milk. This drink is creamy, delicious, and also diary free! See the recipe via my contribution on House & Home.
2. Chilled Espresso Martini
If you are fancying something with a little extra kick to end the work week, this classic espresso martini cocktail is the perfect blend the sophistication and cool. If you prefer a deeper flavour, I recommend using Nespresso Intenso. To see the full recipe, visit my feature on Bay Street Bull.
3. Coffee Granita with Coconut Whip
Transforming Nespresso on Ice into a cheeky dessert is one of my favourite ways to enjoy iced coffee in an unexpected way! This is simple to make but requires a little bit of patience however well worth it! If you’re strapped for time, you can swap the classic technique by crushing the frozen coffee using a blender.
Ingredients:
- Capsules of Nespresso Leggero or Intenso On Ice(to produce approximately 2 cups coffee)
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- Coconut Whip or Yogurt (optional)
How to: Brew coffee in a freezer safe container / Dissolve sugar into coffee while stirring and set aside to cool / Put mixture into freezer for about 3 hours / Take coffee mixture out and break the ice apart with a fork. This will start to form crushed ice crystals / Put back into the freezer and repeat the step above every 15 minutes until the entire mixture has been broken apart / Serve in glass containers and garnish with a dollop of coconut whip or yogurt
4. Iced Peach and Basil Coffee
My love for Iced Peach Tea inspired me to swap out tea for coffee. This drink is fun and refreshing and I also love that I can put my fresh homegrown basil to use! I recommend using Nespresso Leggero for this recipe to allow for the peach and basil flavours to shine through.
Ingredients:
- Capsules of Nespresso Leggero or Intenso On Ice
- Fresh Peaches – Sliced
- Sprigs of fresh basil
- Agave or Simple Syrup
- Large Ice Cubes
- Shaker
How to: Brew two capsules of coffee per glass over large ice cubes in a shaker / Add fresh sliced peaches and fresh sprigs of basil and give it a good shake / Pour over Ice / Sweetened as desired with agave or simple syrup / Add more sliced peaches and basil as garnish
5. Iced Maple Coffee
I crafted this recipe especially to honour Canada 150. During my last visit to a local market, I brought home a beautiful bottle of Canadian Maple Syrup. I love topping my yogurt and granola with this bottle of goodness, who knew it’d be equally tasty infusing coffee with it!
Ingredients:
- Capsules of Nespresso Leggero or Intenso on Ice
- High grade Maple Syrup
- Milk of your choice
- Large Ice Cubes
How to: Bring milk to boil and add maple syrup and bring to simmer (about 10 minutes) / Brew coffee over ice / Add maple syrup infused milk to coffee
