Aside from coffee, cold pressed juices, red wine and the occasion gin and tonic, I rarely consume pop or carbonated drinks. However, sparkling water is an exception and happens to be my go-to choice when it comes to an elevated everyday beverage. With my recent personal choice of cutting back on caffeine and alcohol intake, I’ve become quite acquainted with my SodaStream Power machine.
The simplest and healthiest way to spruce up a plain sparkling water is definitely by adding a combination of fruit and herbs. With the arrival of cooler temperatures, it was the perfect time to ‘harvest’ my fresh herbs and set them aside for these easy, peasy fruit infused drinks.

What You Will Need
- SodaStream Power Machine
- Filtered Water
- Variety of fruits
- Fresh herbs such as rosemary, sage, or mint
Steps: Carbonate water by following instructions on your machine, for these fruit infused drinks, I like the highest carbonation setting / Prepare fruits and set aside / Combine and add ice
Combination 1: Strawberry, Raspberry, Sage
If you’re looking for something colorful and sweet, try a combination of red berries and a few leaves of sage. This is also a wonderful base for sangria!
Combination 2: Orange, Lemon, Lime
Lemon water is quite common and we’ve all heard all the associated health benefits, but why not add some extra citrus flavour by combining orange and lime as well?!
Combination 3: Blackberry, Blueberry, Rosemary
This is my favourite combination for Fall. The blue and black shades of these berries are beautiful displayed in a glass vessel with a few sprigs of rosemary. For those who want a cocktail version, muddle the berries and add in a shot of gin!
