Now that Christmas is over, what can you possibly do with all the leftover candy canes?! Sprinkle them over your favourite coffee cocktail for an elevated touch! Kyle and I are spending the next few days up north with a friends to ring in the New Year, nothing beats a hot beverage after a day on the slopes or by the fire, and when the coffee is as good as NESPRESSO‘s combined with the creamy flavour of Irish Liqueur, well all I can say is that life is good!
I’ve brought my VertuoLine machine to the cottage during the summer, I don’t see why I wouldn’t be able to do the same for this short winter escape. My friends are going to stoked to wake up to a cup of awesome coffee, and on New Year Day, I plan to surprise them with a hot, delicious cup of Irish Coffee topped with a handful of crushed candy canes.
What You Will Need:
- VertuoLine machine or Original Prodigio machine
- 2 part Irish Cream Liqueur
- 6 part hot coffee (I love the limited edition NESPRESSO Sachertorte flavoured Espresso or Ciocattino is equally a great choice!)
- Crushed candy canes
- Whipped cream
- Reveal Festive Lungo Glasses
Steps:
Brew hot coffee and pour into tasting glasses / Mix in Irish Cream Liqueur / Top with whipped cream / Sprinkle crushed candy canes
The sprinkle of candy canes adds an unexpected element of sweetness and peppermint! These are so festive and a fun way to celebrate the start of 2017.
