When it comes to brunching in Toronto, no one will disagree with me that it’s become a favourite weekend activity. It’s not merely ordering food, consuming it because you’re hungry, or a way to get the day started so that you can simply move onto your weekend festivities.
Brunch IS the festivity.
Our nearby neighborhood, Leslieville have an abundance of mouth-watering options for brunch. However, we love exploring new brunch spots because it gives us the chance to also explore areas of the city that we don’t often frequent.
A couple of weekends ago, we ventured to the La Société patio to sample their array of delicious dishes offered on their new brunch menu. Read further to see my top recommendations!
The restaurant is best known as an authentic French bistro, serving up some fantastic classic French dishes. In June 2016, Ben Heaton took over the position as executive chef, and since then he’s introduced a reinvented new menu including some fab dishes for brunch.
But first Coffee… (and mimosas)! On the weekends, La Société offers bottomless pours of Cava, Caesars, and Mimosas for $35! Needless to say, it WAS a festivity for us after a few glasses champs and OJ!
I ordered the LOBSTER BENEDICT (Butter poached lobster, hollandaise, pommes Lyonnaise) while Kyle had the classic STEAK AND EGGS (not pictured, he dived right in before I could even snap a good photo of it!).
The benedict as you can see from the perfectly poached eggs below was absolutely delicious. If you’re a benny addict, I highly recommend this dish. The steak was cooked expertly just the way you like it. Kyle ordered it as medium rare.
Some of you have already seen a sneak peek of these BUTTERMILK PANCAKES (Blueberries and maple syrup) on my Instagram feed. We shared this totally not necessary but incredibly enjoyable dessert. Imagine the pancakes as soft, buttery, sweet clouds of goodness making their way into your mouth. *drooling*
If you’re not much of a Brunch gal, La Société has also launched a new weekly lineup of specials that is sure to tickle your fancy, including:

Be sure to make a reservation if you’re looking to visit sometime soon, and take advantage of the restuarant’s wonderful ground level or 2nd level patio overlooking Yorkville. It a great spot to enjoy some sun and people watch!
