TGIF! What do you have planned for this weekend? It is the weekend before Halloween, so I bet you’ve got something lined up. If you’re still looking for a costume idea, have a look at my DIY costumes from earlier this week.
I’m not sure if this is appropriate to say… but “buying a Celine bag” is definitely on my bucketlist. However, I’m sure many of you can agree, finding an extra chunk (a big chunk!) of cash in my back pocket to fulfill this item on my list is going to take a little bit of time, and the truth is, there’s a slim selection of these beauties in Toronto. Therefore, I decided to cheat for the time being and snagged this look-a-alike Trapeze style purse to satisfy my urge. I repeat: this is for the time being.
If you’re looking for a steal version, keep reading to the bottom to see my full review of it!
Pros: I like the style, colour, and price point of this bag. From a function stand point, I like the fact that it has a lot of room, an interior zipper and pocket as well as removable straps. The thing I also like about it is that you can fold the trapeze wings into the bag and instantly transform it entirely into another bag! Ha!
Cons: However a couple of things that I’m not crazy about is the fact that it isn’t real leather (this really is just my own preference) Also, if you throw too many heavy items, i.e. like an iPad, the buckle closure alone wouldn’t be sufficient as the bag will swing wide open BUT you can zip the bag up (there is an interior zipper) and problem solved. My latter point really is attributed to me being a lazy ass and don’t have ‘time’ to zip my bag up.
Overall, I’m happy to add this purse to my collection and have received several compliments. People really dig the color block combination and the trapeze style.
Wearing: Shirt / Trapeze Purse / Boots
I decided to pair this purse with a casual look. Nothing spectacular, but I’ve been finding myself in ‘effortless’ looks more than glitz and glam lately. This past week, I also had the pleasure to attend a couple of shows at the World MasterCard Fashion Week here in Toronto,. what an amazing experience to be around so much local talent. I also extremely enjoyed the Target #mykindofholiday show, it was so festive and put me right into the Christmas mood (after all we’re just 2 months away!). Enjoy your weekend, hopefully filled with good eats and good company!
