Happy Monday Lovelies! I’m excited to share these photos with you! A couple of weeks back, I had the best time with Manitobah Mukluk and Lotus Leaf Style, shooting some street style photos with the amazing Jenna Marie Wakani (photographer at Refinery29).
I decided to inject some bright cobalt blue to my outfit (cocoon coat here, purse here) while wearing the most comfortable and luxe winter boots – Kanada Boots in black, made in Canada and retail for $299. This is the second pair of Manitobah Mukluk’s I own and I can’t tell you how comfortable their boots are. I especially love the suede and bead work on these boots. The extra addition of rabbit fur that trims around the boots is also an added touch of glam, which I thoroughly adore. If you’re still looking for that perfect Christmas gift for someone that loves lounging in comfort and style, I highly recommend these!
Aren’t these photos great? Jenna is so good at what she does! I’m so thrilled that I had the chance to work with her.
I also got the chance to sit down with Christina and learn a thing or two about beading. I obviously couldn’t walk away without a little bit of crafting! The bead work Christina showed me was truly incredible, every piece was an art piece on its own. She also told me that sometimes it takes her a full day to complete one piece that’s the size of my palm (i.e. the heart shape shown in the photo above). Being a DIY/crafter advocate, I have much appreciation of handmade pieces and fashion. To me, it is wearable art. If aboriginal art work and bead work intrigues you, learn more about the Manitobah Storyboot Project.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I am in full HoliDIY mode! Please stay tuned for some upcoming HoliDIY posts!
