K, I’m SO stoked about this post because I’m finally sharing the gender of our little mini!!! Are you guys ready?! Drum roll….WE’RE HAVING A BOY!!!
Majority of you guessed girl via Instagram and for quite some time I thought we were expecting a baby girl as well. But the sooner I got to my week 20 scan, I knew deep down a little man was growing inside of me! I am super thrilled, and by Kyle’s immediate reaction: “The Higgins name lives on!”, I think he’s pretty excited too. LOL
It’s becoming so much more real now and I also started to feel him flutter and bounce inside, which I must say is the WEIRDEST and most INCREDIBLE feeling at the same time. I promise to share my mid-way point journey soon, but in the meantime, I hope you enjoy these photos captured by amazing photographer, Laura Clarke Photography.
I’ve seen plenty of gender reveal ideas such as smoke bombs and popping a balloon, but I wanted something a little unique to represent a potential activity that we’ll eventually be doing with our little one. We live by the beach and I see many families take their kids to fly kites and enjoy the sun during the warm Summer months. One day soon, I hope we’d be doing the same too.
And in terms of this bubble gum shot, I just wanted something fun! Because this journey is a roller coaster and why not inject bit of fun while we await for his precious arrival. Let’s just say this shot took MUCH longer than I had thought, I don’t recall blowing a bubble gum bubble required skills!!
