Dressing the bump has both been a fun yet challenging experience. Early on in my pregnancy, I was able to get away with repurposing my own closet, finding interesting ways to wear oversized clothing that I already own or secretly leaving buttons and zippers undone. Then as the pregnancy progressed, it’s absolutely necessary to shop for a few key maternity clothing items or the least bring in some new pieces that can accommodate the growing belly.

Lifestyle :: Celebrating My “Unofficial” Mother’s Day + Hand Lettering Nursery Wall Art
Though this little boy is still growing in my belly, I already feel all sorts of mom feels! I’m mentally and emotionally preparing myself for mom life and so, even though he’s not quite ready to say hello to the world yet, this Mother’s Day is a special one because it’s one that is preparing me for motherhood and therefore, definitely worth celebrating.
With Spring just around the corner, I partnered with Joe Fresh to bring their “Free Your Fresh” Campaign to life by trying something fun and new to welcome this new season. I gathered up a couple of my besties and spent the morning sharpening our cake decorating skills at Velvet Lane Cakes located in Toronto.
Every year when the cherry blossoms make an appearance, I beat myself up for NOT making the trek to High Park in Toronto for some beautiful snaps. The truth is, I’m just not all that into crowds nor thrilled about having to get up at 5 am for that perfect shot.
My love for basic mules continues this season and the ones I’m wearing in this post from Joe Fresh are a must have. They seem to be unavailable online, but if you make your way to the stores, hopefully you’ll be able to snatch a pair (I’ve also seen them in pink!).
Sparkle is always appropriate especially during the holidays!
Hope you all had a great Christmas! For me it was full of great food, drink, family and friends. On my last workday before the holiday break, I decided to add a bit of sparkle to my outfit. I love the subtle infusion of glitter from this Joe Fresh blouse and this pair of embellished mesh satin heel from LE CHÂTEAU. It’s always a bit tricky to strike a balance between work and play, but I think this does just the trick.
Can you have enough pairs of basic sandals during the summer?
The answer is no, of course! I love pairing them with maxi dresses and they’re great to toss in my tote bag in case I decide to take a long evening stroll after work. I decided to give my two pairs of Joe Fresh sandals a dose of glam by customizing them with faux pearl beads and assorted trims. The results were awesome!

It’s been nearly ten years since I’ve traveled on vacation with my family. In May, as a group of 11, we embarked on a week-long trip to Hawaii. We adventured around the island of Oahu and we couldn’t have asked for a better time! It was my first time in Hawaii, and it’s no lie when they say that it is paradise!
Seeing that getting the entire family out to Hawaii is likely a once in a lifetime kind of experience, I surprised my sister and mom with matching swimwear and outfits from Joe Fresh’s recent collection in collaboration with lemlem, an artisan-driven collection of women’s, men’s, children’s and home goods made entirely in Africa.

I love Valentine’s Day because it always gives me the excuse to dress in pink! And honestly, I also LOVE seeing all the cute heart shaped products that get released, they are all so adorable! We celebrated Valentine’s Day early this year by visiting FIGO for an amazingly delicious prix fixe brunch. If you’ve not yet visited FIGO, I highly recommend it. Not only are the cocktails and food fantastic, but the interior decor inside is on-point and so romantic.
I sported some pre-Spring items for our brunch date, including this floral dress from Joe Fresh (I linked more options below) and a crepe pastel pink blazer. I also picked up this pair of grey suede boots, I’ve been eyeing them for a while and so glad to see that they’re currently 50% off!
I partnered with Joe Fresh to share our holiday baking traditions that is fun-filled and suitable for all members of the family! This post originally appeared on Joe Fresh Post.
A family weekend baking and cookie decorating session is just what you need to kick off the festive season.
Personally, baking has always been reserved for the holidays. I love gifting baked treats for family and friends during Christmas time. There is something so wonderful and special about sending homemade goods to loved ones, it’s my expression of thanks and gratitude.
My nephews, Tyler and Connor LOVE cookies and they are such great little helpers in the kitchen. I wanted to make my annual bake fest extra special this year, and invited my sister’s family for an afternoon of baking, decorating and of course munching on cookies and milk!
